Born in Martinsville, VA, David and his family moved to Spartanburg, SC, in 1980. His late Father was an Engineer, and wanted David to follow suit, but at the age of 12 David got his first car and spent three years rebuilding it. That was the beginning of a love affair with cars. David kept Engineering in the back of his mind, but he couldn't let go of cars. His passion drove him to attend Spartanburg Technical College, where he graduated top of his class. David had become ASE certified (National Institute for Automotive Excellence) before completing school, and a Ford Master Technician at the age of 25. By this time David was looking for a challenge, and he found it, working on European Model Vehicles, specifically Jaguars. Since then his expertise has grown to include all European Models including Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes, just to name a few. David’s hobby is Skeet Shooting, but in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.

Jonathan Lyda

Jonathan lives in Bat Cave, NC, with his Wife, Kristen.
His passion for cars started out as hobby. At the age of 14 he fixed his first car, a 1950 Chevy pickup. Like David, Jonathan wanted a challenge—to expand his expertise in car repair. Just out of high school he began working on Volvos at a local dealership. He spent the next ten years at another dealership close by, honing his craft for specialty cars.
Jonathan has been working on Volvos for over 15 years, and has worked alongside David since 2003. He is a Master ASE certified technician, and a Volvo Master Technician. Jonathan takes pride in his work, treating a customer’s vehicle as if it were his own—assuring all repairs are complete. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing.
